Cine-it Burger & Grill

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 30, 2009 – I was on my way to have lunch at Flannigan’s and this really cute little diner called Cine-it Burger & grill it caught my eye, and while trying to check out the place from outside the owner came out and invited us in to try it out...It's the type of place you would want to take the family…
The theme of the diner is dinner or lunch & a movie; also it’s like an old 50’s dinner but instead of music playing in the background you have movies playing. Every Thursday night is customer request movie night and tonight they will be playing “Saturday Night Fever”.
The food is excellent , I had a bacon cheese burger with grilled onions it is to die for just thinking about it makes me go have some more.  The prices are great it’s not over priced the portions are perfect.  
They have this cool challenge for anyone who can really eat. It’s called “Super Godzilla Challenge” this is what the challenge entails: Five Meats. Five Cheeses, Four Toppings (your choice), Family Fries, and a Drink if you can eat all of this within 15 min or less it’s free.
I just want to let everyone know I don’t work for them or have anything to do with the diner. I am just a customer who walked in and enjoyed everything about this restaurant and I will defiantly be returning.

Prior to his appointment at Indigo Pearl, Stephane Duvacher served as the Food & Beverage Director at Rosewood Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands.

Piedmontese Beef Featured At Food & Wine Classic In Aspen

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 29, 2009 – Thousands of the greatest culinary minds descended upon Aspen, Colorado for the world’s premier epicurean event known as the FOOD & WINE Classic, an exclusive three-day event during which world-renowned chefs and the culinary elite share trade secrets. Among the topics discussed at this year’s Classic was the industry’s increasing commitment to natural sustainable products that are source-verified. Highlighting this trend at their premier invitation-only event, TWO TWELVE ACCESS ASPEN featured Certified Piedmontese Beef from Montana Ranch Brand all three nights to the enthusiasm of top celebrity chefs and industry leaders.
The Fifth Anniversary of Access Aspen was located just blocks from The Grand Tasting Pavilion at a private mountainside mansion. Each night, Two Twelve Access Aspen hosted the best and the brightest of the hospitality industry, which had the pleasure of dining on Montana Ranch Brand’s authentically natural Piedmontese beef throughout the course of the weekend.
Beginning with the Thursday night opening of Access Aspen, servers passed sliced Piedmontese beef striploin with charred tomatillo relish on a cornbread crouton, as well as Piedmontese beef sliders with aged white cheddar and caramelized onions on mini potato rolls. On Friday night, guests enjoyed grilled Piedmontese beef ribeye on ficelle toast with peppercorn hollandaise sauce, and on Saturday afternoon, Montana Ranch provided Milagro Siesta with Piedmontese beef skirt steak for their delectable taco station. Then the final evening of Access, Montana Ranch pulled out all the stops, serving Piedmontese beef tartare on brioche toast with a quail egg! As in the past, Two Twelve Access Aspen was the talk of the town and considered the best late night event during the Classic.

Throughout the event, there was a common disbelief expressed among those that tasted Piedmontese beef for the first time. The comments ranged from “it tastes like what beef should taste like” to “that has to be dry aged prime.” For those that were not familiar with the Piedmontese breed of cattle, the conventional wisdom was that great tasting beef required an ultra fatty prime cut of meat that has been dry aged for tenderness. However, to the delight of the guests at the Access Aspen event, they discovered that they could experience truly delicious tender beef without the excessive fat found in traditional prime beef.

Study: Customer Service Skills Fall Short Of Stimulating Purchases

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 24, 2009 – Retailers are not doing enough in the current economic downturn to maximise the number of in-store purchases made by customers, according to the latest benchmarking data compiled by The Realise Group from almost 40,000 mystery shops conducted in the 2008 – 2009 Financial Year.
Results from similar benchmarking exercises conducted in 2006 and 2007 revealed that there were significant improvements overall from 2006 and 2007, but that many standards have slipped since 2007.
Sales assistants’ selling skills are in trouble, with only 48% of sales assistants attempting to add-on or upsell a purchase, a 4% decline from 2007. Only 56% of sales assistants attempted to close the sale, an 8% decline from 2007.
The basic customer service standard of approaching customers to offer assistance rose by 15 percentage points from 2006 to 2007, but then experienced a large decline in the 2008 – 2009 Financial Year, falling 11 percentage points from 85% to 74%.
“The results were a surprise, as our expectation was that the recession would have created an imperative to deliver on these critical standards to encourage sales,” said The Realise Group’s Managing Director Katie Miles.
“In these competitive times, sales staff need to be more than just a smiling face. They need to be equipped with the skills to turn browsers into buying customers and encourage shoppers to purchase more than they intended to.”
Less than 50% of staff assessed in all three sectors (Apparel, General and Food) of the study attempted to upsell / add-on.
Staff in Food sectors led in making customer service top priority with an average result of 90%, compared with 84% in General retailers and only 68% in Apparel retailers.
“This was an interesting finding in our study. Apparel retailers seem to place their housekeeping and administrative duties above customer service and will often only approach our mystery shoppers to offer assistance if shoppers deliberately put themselves in their line of sight. Think of how many lost opportunities this results in!” said Katie Miles.
85% of sales assistants in Apparel asked questions to determine mystery shoppers’ needs, followed closely by General retailers with 84%. 94% of both Apparel and General retailers made appropriate product recommendations.
In the Food sector, 91% of mystery shoppers said that the food met their expectations and that their orders were prepared in a timely manner. 96% of payments were handled in an efficient manner.
Across all three categories, 46% of mystery shoppers rated their overall experience as ‘good’ and 34% rated them ‘excellent’. Overall, 87% of mystery shoppers said that they would return to the store based on their experience, unchanged from 2007.

Kids can still make their own pizza 7 days a week however every Thursday this East Orlando location will offer a pizza toppings bar with at least 12 fresh toppings and a group of specialty toppings like All-American Cheeseburger or Hawaiian Luau. Each kid receives a “Chef in Training” id card which tracks 6 pizza creations. After creating 6 pizzas, one of which has to have at least one vegetable, they earn a free sundae, a free pizza for their next visit, and a special collector’s pin. They also fill out a recipe card to name their pizza creations and list their ingredients for each creation.
“We recognize that kids today are not only experimenting with food but enjoy making it too,” said Ginny Matteson, General Manager of the University Boulevard location. “Keeping that in mind, we thought it would be fun to take something we already did, that we know kids enjoy, and step it up while also offering some healthy topping options for their pizza.”
The restaurant’s kid-friendly certification doesn’t stop there. They also rate high for having servers that don’t put full glasses and hot plates in front of young ones, drinks with lids, a good noise level, short wait times, clean restaurant, clean restrooms, and diaper changing tables in both restroom – all attributes deemed important by parents.
